Fundraising Training and Group Coaching

For teams with a shared goal or challenge — for example internal influencing, coaching skills, getting more meetings, getting unstuck with stuck prospects, or work-life balance. Can be standalone or run as a series.

Building core coaching/managing skills: levels of listening, active listening, reflecting back, open questions — then GROW questions, boundaries, accountability, and habit-building. From a single 3-hour introduction up to 3–4 shorter action-learning sessions.

Overview & Toolkit  —  3 hrs 

Works through a full meeting plan template: setting objectives, using research, openings, insight questions, the three-part ask, closing, and follow-up.

Deep Dives  —  1 hr each

Focused sessions on Mindset, Openings, Insight Questions, or the Three-Part Opportunity Offer (the “ask”).

Practice Session  —  1.5 hrs

Come together to practise in threes — donor, fundraiser, and observer — with feedback.

Meeting Plan Feedback  —  45 min per person

Bespoke feedback on real meeting plans and practice runs of set pieces such as openings or asks.

Next Level  —  1.5–2 hrs

Run 6–12 months after initial training: revisits donor meeting skills and adds storytelling and peer feedback.

Writing for SUCCESS  —  2 × 3 hrs

Makes writing Simple, Unexpected, Concrete, Credible, Emotional, Satisfying, Story-ful.

Writing for SUCCESS Surgery  —  2.5 hrs

Once you’ve given it a go, embed by reviewing each other’s work, and doing targeted skills practice

Writing for SUCCESS Feedback —  45 min per person

Bespoke feedback on a piece of writing, both in writing, and troubleshooting in a call

Application Baking  —  3 hrs

A tried-and-tested “recipe” for funding applications and budgets and how to check for missing ‘ingredients’

Reporting for Duty  —  2.5 hrs

Role-play as a donor, crowdsource what good reporting looks like, and build a failsafe reporting checklist.

What the Helvetica?  —  2 hrs

Document presentation and design skills: brand colours and fonts, the logo, photos, and columns.

Once Upon a Time  —  2 × 2 hours

How to tell service-user stories with maximum impact: story structure, deconstructing and rebuilding stories, and using photos well.

[Your Charity] Fables  —  Variable, ~3–5 min per story + admin/prep

Colleagues tell short stories of their work at team meetings or away days. Builds recognition, visibility, and public-speaking confidence.

Gathering Stories  —  1.5–2 hrs

For people who collect case studies and beneficiary stories: consent, sourcing, and questioning technique.
